Growth: Leafy And Personal
'Sup guys, long time no see! It's been a while! My last two posts were about my Areca Palm and my Lavendar which - update- they both...
Stay a while
Welcome to Darling Life, my very own passion project, a creative space where I want to share with you knowledge I have gained to help me keep my personal jungle happy and thriving. I am not an expert, but in my experience it helps to just know how a fellow enthusiast overcame an obstacle and kept their own diva of a plant alive.
This is a lifestyle blog with a focus on houseplant care, I'll be sure to discuss some of my other passions such as crafting too. I promise you informative, positive and wholesome content. We all need an escape from the real world right? If this sounds appealing to you, then I think we'll get along just fine.
A Letter To You
Dear reader,
My name is Ishae Adam's (eye-shah) and I am the creator of this blog. Weird name I know, my mum made it up. I am 25, bi-racial and I live in London with my partner and our two friends. For anyone who may be interested, I am a Scorpio with Pisces rising, so~ make of that what you will!
This is my third attempt to get a blog going. I have always loved writing but I never thought I had anything to say, now that I am older and have explored my interests some more, I think I actually now have a voice that will be useful to an audience. I used to want to be a journalist, then a fashion designer, then a vet, then a zoologist or marine biologist, and now? I just want to be happy. Plants make me happy.
I am a 2nd year studying Zoology and was an amazing experience up until the pandemic began and everything shifted to being online. Now it's not so good, and I'm not going to pretend it is. That said, I'm not going to complain about it either, that's not what this blog is about. Darling Life is about escaping to a more positive place and promised you wholesome content.
I've only been keeping houseplants for 2 years. At the start of the lockdown I was in a flat with no garden access and too much anxiety to stay outdoors on my own all day, so I decided to cultivate my own personal jungle! When I left that flat I had 8 and now that I am in a house I have bumped that number to an impressive 36 in just a few months! They are all babies because I love to watch them grow, and also because it is so much cheaper.
As this blog grows and lockdown ends, I hope to show you what London has to offer, document some of the day trips I take with Bella, and share with you my thoughts and impressions. This blog has so much potential for growth but as I know I have a habit of taking on too much all at once, we'll stick to houseplants for now.
I hope that gives you a bit more insight into who I am as a person and what this blog is about. It's going to be quite the journey for us both haha!
- Ishae xoxo
